We visited Morocco as a couple in September 2024 together with Abdoul of “Morocco Desert Gate” who accompanied us on a Morcco 8 day itinerary from Marrakech acting as a driver in the following stages: Marrakech, Ait-Ben-Haddou, Dades Gorges, Gorges of Todra, tented camp in the Merzouga desert, macaque forest, Ifrane, Fes, Meknes, Chefchaouen, Rabat with return to Marrakech (approximately 1900 km). We chose Morocco desert gate because, looking at our travel requests, they respected our budget. Although we were usually two very independent people, having a driver was the best choice in organizational terms. In fact, Morocco Desert Gate managed every aspect of the holiday in the best possible way: from the choice of professional tourist guides for the cities of Marrakech and Fes entirely dedicated to us, to the evaluation of the central Riads with swimming pools to sleep in, up to the planning of stops during the journey and visits of the various cooperatives along the route (places where ceramics, leather and fossils are hand-crafted, where argan and rose water are extracted, including interesting places of typical clothes). In other words, having a native driver who speaks the Italian 🇮🇹 language very well like Abdoul allowed us to learn more about Moroccan culture and its customs, thanks to the ample time available in the car to talk. And, last but not least, it allowed us to enjoy our holiday without the worry of road checks (around 10-15 checkpoints per day). Abdoul has always been very helpful and kind to us, observing our every request. We recommend this experience to those who want to experience the country in an all-round way in serenity.
